Interesting. I have clicks too, but with a complete different setup. Mine is Roland VM7200 digital desk running into RME 24/96 and into CB 4.1 and 5.0. I have clicks all over the map - unrelated to anything. Murphy laws has it always in the wrong time and place. I have been told by some digital gurus (God knows I am not one)that Roland is (in)famous for unstable clocking which in turn is the cause of most click. Can anybody verify this?
I am happy my Studer A80 is click free...

The only thing I have heard about with Roland gear is due to timing with MMC..the crystal will drift making it very hard to sync up to any software based sequencer!
The issue with clicks right before the audio kicks in I havent come across so I'm not sure what you could truly do about that one!

I have had this happen once...perhaps a corrupt session ??

Load another song and see if it behaves the same(by importing the same audio)...if id does change the audio file and try again!

Also I would HIGHLY recommend you upgrade to at least 4.1.2 which is a very stable version and doesn't eat as much CPU as vers 5.x !

hi,

im also experiencing audio pops in a completely random way. Once i get my track count up to 3 or 4 and I pump up the volume on my speakers or headphones i get really loud pops that threaten my speakers.

I'm using an IBM aptiva, 550mHz, 128MB ram, Tascam US-428, cubasis vst.
