Good song! My advise would be to book a few hours into a university recording studio (or pro if you have the funds) accompanied by some fellow musicians; low-end sound would be good on this tune, and lay down all the tracks. Be sure to arrive well rehearsed and equipped. When that has been completed, the mastering process can begin. Hope this helped. You could be at the beginning of a great music career! thumb

Hey, thanks for the advice! Truth is, I really can't afford studio time at all, nor the travel costs to get to a decent studio, even one on a campus. What I'm looking for in this thread is for anyone who is willing to Mix & Master the humble little recordings I make. ^_^

Yes, all the guitars, vocals, (other instruments are going to be added as well), they all are on separate tracks.
I use Pro Tools SE, it came with my M-Audio Fast Track.

Yeah, I hear you about not being able to afford studio time and travel expenses, but truth is, unless someone here with a pro setup and many hours of mixing/ mastering experience volunteers, you are pretty much stuck with cheap-o sound (not that yours sounds bad at all) or biting the bullet, saving up and and doing the studio thing. Additionally, not all studios are created equally including the sound engineer and his/her expertise and tastes. Try to go with one with a good reputation especially for your genre if possible.
Also, there are online places that offer mastering services, maybe mixing too, someone here may know of a good one and chime in. Finding free mixing and mastering is going to be tough order, though. Best of luck in you music endeavors!

I'll extend the offer to you, since not only did I like your video, I thought that KLIPCH corner horn speaker was a nice touch.

For this kind of work I utilize both my vintage analog control room, and/or just do it ITB. I have no qualms using either or both methods and means, at the same time or individually.

In listening to this, I'm likely to utilize the API and/or Neve preamps and equalizers to impart their own special touch. The gain staging here is the key to get a full and robust quality of sound on this. It's a mellow, but it lacks a sonic punch. So I'd like to abuse your audio hee hee.

I was also curious as to why your video only had monaural sound? You know you have a 50-50 chance of getting a stereo mix right or... left, down correctly, don't you? LOL.

For sure, your mix could utilize a bit of sparkle, depth. While I know it's all you, there is a certain element of too much sameness going on. One microphone. One style and technique of miking everything certainly poses a challenge at creating a different contrast between like overdubs. But that's what we do. And people like myself have numerous ways of getting different textures from like sounding overdubs. But likeness and sameness, along with your musical creation gives me the feelings of happy meals at a McDonald's drive through. LOL. Where's my prize? I wanted the little miniature bendable Lady Gaga toy in the meat dress. Now that's a happy meal!

I couldn't identify/make out that condenser microphone, you are using, but it sure does sound like a tube? Smooth for sure, going into your Fast-Track. Nice job, nice sound.
