Hi,
I bought a cheap plywood jazz bass copy and put some emg jvx pups in it.
So re did the bass line of this cover we did a while back, and remixed the song.
Its so nice to have a bit of pow in the bass, where it use to be dull .
So what do you think ?, maybe the bass is a bit over the top ( new toy and all )

Chris, i think the song dropped off probably because we don't have a practice regimen with the metronome.
So when we do play around with the tempo , it becomes a little too obvious and outside the acceptable allowances.
In saying that , anytime I have a recording that doesn't sway from the tempo at all ,I get bored with it.
Trying to find that subtleness in tempo change or pulse is becoming a priority in my learning curve .
Hours and hours of metronome and then a few beers seems to be what I think as a solution lol

The mix sounds good...my HS7's aren't really heavy in the bass but it sounds well balanced in my listening environment.
This is the song of praise about Ngoi Pēwhairangi, yes?...very catchy and joyful sound there...hard not to smile and bop along when listening to it.
Thanks for sharing. (y)
