So, I've had it with my resource-sucking Profire 26x26. My computer worked just fine with my E-MU system, but I needed more inputs. The Firestudio also hates my computer so I'm moving away from firewire altogether.

I have two PCI and one PCI-E slots in my Pentium-D VAIO. I was looking at the RME HDSP 9652. I love the idea of it! I already have one DIGIMAX FS that I LOVE, but I would really like to run two full DIGIMAX's at 88.2k. Are there any PCI systems out there that have four ADAT I/O's? The 9652 only has three. I have no problem spending some money here as I would just like to get something that is made for quality, like RME or higher. Suggestions? I know there is a lot on these forums about interfaces, etc, but none that I can see that offer the ADAT connectivity that I would like.

If not that, perhaps I should sell both my DIGIMAX and Profire and move to MADI? I suppose I should do some more research on that though.

Sorry to be a post-whore, but the more I see this thing the more I'm drooling.

Just a flow of my signal as I'm seeing it right now. Let me know what you all think:

-2x Presonus DIGIMAX FS
-S/MUX out to RME HDSPe RayDAT

Now should I get the optional TEB TDIF expansion to keep my computer as the master time coder or should I just set it to slave and use one of my DIGIMAX's as the master via ADAT to the PC and BNC to the other DIGIMAX?

This is what I've been wanting for so long now! I've just been so dumb not to look into PCIe options.

Will I notice any difference in CPU performance between using PCI and PCIe?

The difference is that PCI and AGP are being replaced so PCIe stands to inherit the slot, so to speak.
