I am from China...I like euro dance music...I want to study how to mix music. so,I bought RME 9632 in 2004.
Now..I want to recording Vocal for dance music. so,I want to buy mic preamp.But, I don't know how to choise.( a lots of brands)
only <$600...only for vocal...single ch mic preamp...

I want to buy voice master pro. But,a lots of teachers tell me:"It is no good."
they say:"Mackie 1402 Mixer preamp is enough."
and...I listened Grace 101 is good.But,I am in China...I can't buy it...no agent.
I know a lots of brands. is Chia OEM. .

Other than that, a mixer can be handy and does have preamps which can be OK. Further, ANY mic pre you can get for your budget price should be fine to get started on.
