I wrote this a couple months ago for a contest along with some other stuff. Out of the three, however, this is the song I was most satisfied with. I got to record it in a studio (which turned out to be pretty disappointing, sadly) and performed it live in front of an audience of about 200 people, I believe. It's basically inspired by the media catering to what people want to hear, not what's actually going on.

I'd like feedback on both the song itself as well as this recording of it. What did I do well? What can I do better?
Thanks in advance.

The acoustic guitar could come up a little, I can just hear it in the right channel on and off around 2/3 way through the song, it seems to auto-pan from left to right and back at one point. I had to go back and listen again to that part to work out what it was at first.
I would probably get rid of the auto pan if you can and bring the acoustic guitar level up and have it come in and out of the song at certain points just to break it up a little and complement the piano more.

The guitar is recorded twice, one panned hard left and one panned hard right. It was one of the earlier instruments recorded, I guess it must've drowned in the mix. Thanks for your feedback, I'll play around with it and see if I can make it fit in better. :D

At first I thought it sounded rather phasey so to speak.
You seem to hear it in one ear and then in the other, like a ping-pong effect.
FWIW If I were you I would just have the guitar nice and clear, maybe have it panned say 50-60% to the right, coming in a strategic / defining points of the song.
Just my first impression, not trying to be a dick but I hope this helps
