What SRC are you using to convert the files? are you sure it's not the other program playing it back that isn't the problem? what program are you playing it back on? itunes?

the SRC i'm using is the save as in wavelab, but i use the dithring ("UV")

The Crystal SRC in WaveLab is one o the best I've heard (actually, it's the sole reason I bought WaveLab again since many years ago). I have no idea what's happening if you "save as" -

Write down IN ORDER all the steps you are taking when you "master" something and then save it.

Then post it here and we maybe able to give you some additional help.

I think there may be some steps missing.

in cubase sx i mix down in 48hz 24 bits

in wavelab i master and render , the file remains in 48hz 24 bits

and than i "save as" 44.1hz 24 bits

OK so somewhere you need to sample rate convert the file (from 48 KHz to 44.1 KHz) and you also need to "dither it" down to 16 bits if you are doing CDs. You can use the sample rate converter built into WL then do the dithering with the bulit in dither plug-ins in the master section and then "render" the file. Simply saving it as another file with different attributes will NOT work.

The render menu will allow you to save a new file. Check out the options in the render menu.

Yes but you still have to sample rate convert it and dither it before saving it. We have been using WL since version 1.6 and we turn out a heck of a lot of mastered CDs and you can't just SAVE a file with different attributes with out processing it.

Yes you must pick your dither and select the sample rate conversion. I mainly use either the Apogee or wave L2 dither and conversion. But in the render menu you can select to a new file and set up its bit rate and sampling rate, and yes Thomas is right this only tells wave lab what type of file is going render it too, it does not dither or change the sampling rate.

The UV dither comes in a few flavors. One just adds the dither, and the other can change the sampling rate which one are you using?
