This looks very cool. I personally don't think this is quite ready yet but it looks very promising. There is still some delay between your fingers action and the consoles reaction but it may be the future of control surfaces. Check out the editing features. Pretty amazing.

Then again, I think control surfaces in general have a lot of lag. Microsoft's Surface looks promising as well but that also requires that you be connected via wifi. The Raven has a lot of features that are specific to DAWs so, I think that is the draw. There are also Pro Tools Apps for the iPad and many apps for the other DAWs using Android based tablets and phones. All of these requiring that you be connected via wifi. I don't know if that's a good thing. I like a physical connection. In the end, I think editing via some sort of touch screen is awesome but I like the idea of real time control over faders rather than the 15ms of lag. It's too much. It's much easier to cope with audio latency than visual IMHO. Visual latency just makes you more aware of any audible latency since you see the lag before you hear it.

In the case of the Cintiq video, the lag is due to the computer they used for the demo. In proper use on a powerful computer there is very little lag, I have a couple of Cintiqs of various ages which I use every day, they're all as snappy as can be. You get more lag on apple's bluetooth mouse.

Be better off with the most recent Wacom Cintiq if you ask me. It's doubtless a *lot* cheaper than that rather nightmare looking monster, and doesn't have the fat finger/huge pixel problem.
