Many have heard about Universal Audio's Powered Plugins DSP card which should be available sometime this year. The big question was would they support RTAS. This should answer that question.
"Q: What are the system requirements for Powered plugins
A: The first Powered pluginsbundle will be available for users of VST PC based systems. A host application such as Nuendo, Cubase or Logic Audio will simply see the Powered pluginsas yet another choice within the VST pluginsInserts menu. Yes, believe it or not, it's just that simple. Additional platforms such as RTAS PC/Mac, VST/Mac and MAS will also be supported with future updates."
This is going to be a VERY good year...!

I share your enthusiasm guys, but when you look at the plug-in count that the new Athlon PC systems are getting, adding powered plugs would be getting up to TDM performance (except for the track count of course), and I can't see Digi allowing that. It would go against the whole reason for releasing 001.
