I have to say I'm REALLY used to the Sonar environment and its functions. my question is if there's any version in particular I should look for to upgrade to a newer one, of course. 7? 8?
also, and most importantly, would I be able to open my old Sonar 3 files from any newer version? maybe import them?
cheers!

to tell you the truth I AM very happy with 3 as it is, but many things have led me to believe that there might be an incompatibility issue with it and slightly "newer" hardware/soft, since I've been getting glitches and clicks in my recordings which I haven't had by trying other programs such as Audacity....
perhaps 6 or 7 will have newer drivers/components/whatever-it-may-be-called??
thanx!!

I have Sonar 5 and it is backwards compatible so it can open project files from Pro Audio 9, also a Cakewalk product.
