I am looking now to expand my front end chain. currently i have the M5 and 747sp into a TC M3000.
I was wondering about the Quartet 2 but the cost is pretty high although i understand why after having talked to someone about it.
that being said and i know this is subjective but has anyone used that and compared it to say a 737sp, or a stt-1, or just the Quartet?
i basically want another sound for my front end with an AT4050 mic or a taylor acoustic
or am i way off base with the quartet 2 in this capacity?
thanks

Hmmmm
if you are referring to the STT-1 i have heard the exact opposite, in terms of sound, especially vs the avalon. however all is subjective to the listener
unless i really missed something somewhere these are not just for vocals, since i have read many posts with people who use them for acoustic guitar as well, especially the 737sp.
anyway i have found a couple other posts on here, one of which i actually replied to but had forgotten about and have found some other info on this
thanks for the reply though

If it is vocals you are working with, then consider the Quartet I, which is about $2,500. Of course the Millennia Origin is a great preduct too. Both beat out the Avalon.
