I am going to pick up another stick of PC2700 Samsung DDR. PCSupply has it for $29 with free shipping. I didn't even know what "on 3rd" meant.

Is this OK if Samsung didn't make the board that the memory modules are on? I already have a 256 stick of this stuff.

Here is their email to me:

Yes, it is a standard memory stick. "On Third" means the chip is made by Samsung, but the board is made by a third manufacturer.
Thanks,
PCSS SALES

Whats up?

Thanks.

Basically what they are doing is having someone manufacturer the bare boards for them, third party, through someone else, most likely their manufacturer has someone make them for them.
It's very common in the electronics industry of any sort.

I wouldn't worry about it as Samsung wouldn't release anything that was bad!!
