Hi!

What's the big difference between unbalanced cable and balanced cable?
Can I ear this change?

… by the way, active monitors works best with the level in the amp at full power, controlling in the software mixer?

My monitors go from -30 db to +6db

Always choose balanced cables if possible. Eight is right, you can make longer runs and are less supceptible to interference.

As far as the volume on your amps, set your master fader in your software at unity gain, then adjust the monitors to your preferred work volume. Make sure they're both at the same exact spot though

So....LET ME TELL YOU about balanced cable...:-)

In a nutshell, the difference between balanced and unbalanced, as far as the cable is concerned, is one conductor.

Balanced is better. with balanced, most, if not all, of the noise that can enter the line, on its way from the mixer/converter/whatever, to the speaker, gets REJECTED like a pathetic limp-wristed Toronto maple leafs "slapshot" (and I use that term charitably) against the Habs.

The difference you'd hear would be "lack of clear-channel radio station".

Hi!

That's nice... balanced cables forever!

Nice tip McCheese for the db control in the Motu...

I just read one review with a guy that say's the monitors work better at full power(Dynaudio)… I guess this man was taking some drugs… (they are fine in some app’s but when you need intelligence and control from your brain and ears????)
