I am trying to find an affordable studio mic and so far came up with these, the reason? price of course but they are the only ones I can afford at this time. Musicians Friend has this deal with the MXL 3000 with the shock mount and pop filter for 149. I read they are priced at 349 before hand. The other option is the AKG 120 because a friend of mine had one and sold it and wished he'd never sold it to begin with. I listened to a few tests run on a thread and I think they sound really good. the other reason I am asking is because I am about 2 hours away from any decent music instrument store like guitar center so I really do not have a chance to go out and test any out.
