I upgraded my version of Nero to the latest version- 5.5.10.28. I'm using a USB HP 8200e burner. Had no problems ever with recognition of this device. Now, it won't even list it in Nero as an option.
Anyone with similar or a solution?
Thanks.

...upgrades are overrated....
any other ideas?
I ran the nero info utility and it won't even recognize it. Well, actually, it recognized that there was something there at "G:" but didn't read/get any info from it. Explorer reads it fine.

The DLL file that comes with upgrades doesn't work with HP stuff. you have to update your WNASPI32.dll manually to a compatible XP version.
I have it if anyone ever needs it.
Not that anyone would admit to also using an HP burner...let alone an 8200e that is soooooo slooooowwwwwwwww.
