For all you BR-1600CD users that are interested:

My company purchased a BR-1600CD not long ago, and we were EXTREMELY dissapointed with the USB functionality and how incredibly slow and limited the entire "Export to WAV" functionality was.

We use the BR-1600CD for recording live gigs, and we like the small footprint and ease of use of the unit compared with the other VS-platforms (plus cost was a bonus factor). We do all our post-recording mixing, editing and production using Cakewalk SONAR 3 Producer on a PC. After suffering with the current USB implementation, myself being a software engineer in my day life, decided to solve the problem on my own, and created a software conversion utility, WAV-MAKER-1600, which my company now markets to the general public.

Information on this utility can be found at my company's website: http://www.topsoundproductions.com

or a more direct link: http://topsoundproductions.home.att.net/products/wav-maker-1600/

If anyone is interested in more information, feel free to ask questions here or via the e-mail addresses listed on the website.

I hope this utility will help others, as it has already helped my company. I hope it ends all the USB woes that people might be experiencing with their BR-1600CDs.
