I think 1/4" is what I am thinking of, this big phono plugs.

Do they make any soundcards with those on them? If I can find one, even a windows only one I think I can scam some time in a really nice studio to do some of my work.

I mostly just play with data using sox, and various encoders and sound effects, I haven't done anything original or productive yet. I may be recording a punk band that my friend is in soon though.

But any soundcards that have those inputs on them is what I am looking for, turns out he likes the way stuff sounds on 1/4" cause more surface area for contact I guess.
