I just received a Soundelux U95s (many thanks David...) Tried it on my voice against my prefered mic, an AKG C12-A, and the U95s was somewhat smaller and less airy. I was never more than 10" from the mic, sometimes a bit closer. (On the C12-A I'm right on top of the mic...) What is the best technique for the U95s mic on male vocal? Also, is there any thing I need to know in terms of breaking-in the mic? Like leaving it on for a few hours before trying it? This is the first time I've had a new tube mic and I'm not sure if there's anything special I need to know.
