yamaha makes awesome everything. the motif is one of the best sounding keyboards ive ever worked with. congrats on your new purchase, i'd wager you wont be disappointed sir! its cool they added tight integration with the DAW, which was the motifs weak point.

I'm looking forward to being actually able to play live, and because unlike the Motif, I can now change sounds, as I play :). Wife wasn't too happy as I bunged part of the cost on interest free, but it was mostly paid for LOL.

couple gigs otta have it paid in full in no time!! im curious to hear your thoughts on it vs the motif. i doubt you'll be dissapointed.

It didn’t turn up today... store stuffed up.. coming Monday now... anyhow. Going to be a big learning curve, and then hopefully get out and gig with it!. I love that they’ve made it backwards compatible with the Motif stuff.. but, I’m not really tied to anything I was using as it was all stock presets.

I can say fairly safely say the montage will equal and overtake anything I had in the motif from my initial listens leading up to choosing it.
