i just discover the forum, :D
i work in a mastering studios and i m doeing a film about vinyl cutting for my school project .
the object of the documentary is to explain the story of vinyl cutting and his evolution from the edison cylinder to Final Scratch ;the new possibilities it offers and to give informations about the vinyl support for audiophiles and vinyl admirators.
i'd like to make a simply demonstration of the process who convert an electric signal to a mechanic movement.
I got many informations from the AES diary about VMS 66, 70 & 80 but if you know others cutting machine or if you just want to help me in the direction i have to take, it will be a great pleasure

This is the first time I come on this forum and I m glad to know it because I work in a Mastering studio and actually I m making a film which talk about vinyl cutting .
The main subject is about the way to cut vinyls in order to express the evolution from the Edison cylindre to Final Scratch software; and i would like to make a simply demonstration of the process to convert an electric signal to a mechanic movement.
Especially, I want to make this film for people who are passionate for vinyls.
I already get informations from the AES diary about VMS 66, 70 & 80; i wonder whether if somebody could inform me about other ways tu cut, it will be better for my final project.
