I struggle for context when I hear a track like this. I have no idea who the intended audience is and when and how they'd listen to this. Can you explain how you see this ? Is there some kid with beats on listening to this doing homework ? Is this just for Goa - dancing on the beach while tripping balls? Is it being played in clubs? I'd love to understand it better.

I swear I used no vstis here.
The Polysix has no presets (I used it for all the bass parts and it's just been cv-gated to midi parts I sequenced on the NL3). I used the NL3 to taste for the leads (please take a look at my nl3 demo here:

). Ok, the piano is a tweaked fantom xr preset.

Thank you for listening to it! ;)

Accordingly, in keeping with the tradition of this forum, we must insist that any song you post MUST INCLUDE AT LEAST ONE TRACK OF AUDIO THAT HAS ACTUALLY BEEN PERFORMED BY YOU, where an actual microphone (or multiple microphones) are used to record audio content.

Which track was real?

Further, posting a song with the sole intent of simply upping a view or listen count on various audio streaming sites will also be deleted.

Was there really any other intent on your post other than doing so?

If you wish to post songs that use computer-performed VSTi's, we suggest that you find a site that is founded more towards this style of production.

You should find another site that is aimed more at this type of production.

Again, no vst instruments here.
All the recordings of the real instruments (Korg Polysix, Nord Lead 3 and Roland Fantom XR) were done by myself using a Motu 896 MK3 audio interface. I used a couple Radial Engineering Passive DI Box for the P6 and NL3. The Fantom XR has balanced outputs directly connected to the Motu.
No vst fx. Just Ableton Live 8 native fxs (reverbs, compressors, delays, gates).
Lots of sidechaining and gating here to keep the drums up.
Drum samples coming from Embra Music (Embra Sound Design Tools 02).

I also posted a video here:

The use of VSTi's or VST effects isn't the point... there's not a thing wrong with their use. But you haven't used any organic tracks that were sourced using an actual mic.

I'm not here to argue with you over what is art and what's not. You haven't followed the guidelines listed above and laid out by the mods - in particular, the owner of the forum.

You aren't presenting this as a collaboration, musically or mix wise, even though this is the forum you posted this in. I'm deleting this. If you have a problem with it, file a report against me. It will be taken into consideration by the other mods - excluding myself.
