Hi everyone.

I'm a Digital Performer 3.02 user. I have read that the latest version (4.1) supports Audio Units compatible Plugins .

I'm very interested in trying out the Performance Tool found in the Vienna Symphonic Library. This sample library is Gigasampler and EXS24 compatible. But how to use it along with Performer?

In theory, I could use MOTU's Mach Five to convert the programs from the sample library from Giga, EXS, or almost any other format. But the Performance Tool is a very specific utility that'll only work with the before mentioned formats.

SO, I was wondering if the EXS 24 mk II, from Emagic (now owned by Apple) will suport Audio Units technology and will be compatible with DP 4.1, thus making the Performance Tool available within Performer's digital domain?

What do you think? Or perhaps this is just too philosophical a subject...

Thanks,
regards--

The EXS24 MkII is not a VST or AU plugin, it only works in Logic. However there is an LE version known as the EXSP24 that is an AU (osx) and VST (os9) plugin. But I don't know if the performance tool works with it, let alone in other sequencers.

I'd say if EXSP24 support is not explicitly stated in VSL documentation, then you should assume it doesn't work.
