Wassup everyone, I'm trying to create a few intro songs for my new black metal band "Exuro Sanctus", I was wondering if any of you knew some Reason refills that are extremely evil with drones and piercing strings. Just think of the most evil environment you can think of, and let me know if you know a refill for it. Classical refills that sound good are of interest to me also, black metal is pretty much the extreme version of classical. Thanks guys!

load up a string sound and play with really low notes. find a groove you like and copy the take {as wav's (or whatever) in your DAW}, detune one with a pitch shifter,...by just a few cents (enough to make them sound like they don't like each other much) and add the same (long, big) reverb to both. you can even pan them out and whatnot,...should do the trick.
Post whatever you end up going with,....im into "dark" so any new imput would be usefull

What's wrong with the sounds already there? You can surely modify them to sound more evil. I've used a lot of the standard sounds to create malevolent soundscapes or intros or whatever you need to do with 'em... Rest assured no one is going to make a "Black Metal" Refill for this software!
Black Metal is what you make of it. Some used 1,000 synths, some don't need it. I prefer non-synth organic, harsh, black metal to the "Dimmu Burger" sounding bands out there claiming to be "evil"....
but that's a whole other debate I better shut up about now... sorry!
