Hi there,

I have a small collection of plugins that I like to use, however I'm not sure in what order or how to chain them together.

Specifically, it involves the PSP Vintage Warmer and the Waves Renaissance Compressor. Should I be using these two together, even though the Vintage Warmer already compresses the signal? I've heard a few people say the Waves compressor is the best software plugin for compression, but I would like to find something that is able to "warm" up my digital recordings a bit.

What is your take on it? Do you have any other plugins you like better? Thanks!

Tom

I see no reason you couldn't use the two together. Lots of people use two compressors all the time. You can sometimes get good hard compression without artifacts by using two rounds of moderate compression instead of one round of heavy compression. Also, don't worry so much about what you should be doing; instead, worry about what sounds good to your ears.
