Hey, I have a zoom multitrack that allows you to record 6 tracks simultaneously. The zoom recorders have awesome effects for the guitar and plugging my guitar direct is good for recording instead of Micing the cab. But when you record in 6 track mode you cant use the effects. You cant assign an effect for each track in multi track mode and I want to record two guitars at once. My question is, are there any home studio recorders that will allow you to use the inboard effects when recording in multitrack mode? I'm trying to record a band cheaply but decently. Thanks

Ya know you could prolly get that [[url=http://[/URL]="http://audacity.sou…"]Audacity software[/]="http://audacity.sou…"]Audacity software[/] on your computer and just use the zoom box as your pedal board.

You could line in into the zoom(not record), out the master outs, into the computer and record to Audacity. That would give you your effects back would it not?

Yes I could use the recorder as a "foot pedal effect" but that isnt the issue I'm facing. I need the recorder to record the drums, bass and rhythm guitars at the same time. I want to be able to give both guitars effects during recording but in multi track mode you cant assign effects to both guitars. I was wondering if there were any home recorders that allow you to do that. Thanks!
