Anyone signed up with Amazon.com's Advantage program for hard copy media distribution? I am officially done with these clowns. I just got an email yesterday stating that they have imposed a brand new $99 annual fee IN ADDITION the the 55% that they take, which can sometimes increase. So if you're owed $100 for CD sales for the year, Amazon will pay you $1. LOL! So what's the point? My titles are already sold digitally through TuneCore distribution and I can sell my hard copies through CCnow.com using a link from my website. Then I don't have to worry about people getting gouged for a minimum of $11 for a CD. Sure I'll move less CD's, but my CD sales pale in comparison to digital sales. Nobody buys CD's anymore.

Lol, nobody pays to hear my originals. Usually my bands sell CDs at gigs for 1-5$. In fact, the best way to get more money, is to not have a price, and let people 'donate'. Usually drunk people are a bit looser w their wallets.

This absolutely sounds like a rip off. I swore CDs off about 3 years ago, I belive was the last one. In fact I've got to get a 150$ high end burner from plextor, to rip my cd collection to HDD.

We'll see if I have the heart to toss the physical CDs...
