I reciently let my intern record the over-dubs on a session. I set up the mic on the amp and it sounded good, a no-brainer. The problem I am now facing in mix-down is that when he recorded the rhy-guit, he must have switched mic-inputs, because the mic that was in front of the amp was not recorded. What was recorded, was some other live mic that was in the studio. The sound is there but has that distant-mic sound. Anyone have any ideas on how I might get that guitar back in your face without re-recording it ?
