I recently purchased a used HP 6000 scsi se drive array for backing up live performance recordings. It currently has 7 4.3 gig non hot swappable drives. So far I haven't been able to get the roland to recognize the array. Each drive has its own id #, the roland is "0" and so on. The array is terminated. Any suggestions on getting the two together or am I shhotin in the dark.

Do you have the latest OS revision for the 880? Sometimes if you dont have the correct OS it wont recognize certain drives. Also try different SCSI ID's on the 880...0 for the 880 is the main drive inside the unit so you will need to match the SCSI ID for the SCSI card that operates the array system. To find out what OS you have turn the 880 on and the unit will display the revision on the startup screen. If you have never updated the 880 I would highly recomend it. If you need instructions on how to update it feel free to ask me.
