Frustrated,

I have windows XP pro sp2. I have the infamous intel 915P chipset. Attempting to run pro-tools LE 6.8 with Mbox 2 .
No matter what I do I get error 6086 h/w buffer size error.

1) Will disabling hyperthreading do me any good even though
I have this non-compatible chipset?

2) If so, how the heck do I disable hyperthreading, I cant find it anywhere...i need step by step directions please. oh please!

3) Is there a for sure fix to this problem, or should I give up and return my pro-tools?

Thank you so much!

If you have a non compatable pc then you're going to have a hard time being productive at all. I highly recommend getting in contact with digidesign and see if you're pc is your biggest problem. One question, were you aware before you purchased pro tools that you may have a problem with your chipset? You ALWAYS need to check compatability with every software.
