I am thinking of doing some monitoring using in ear headphones.
I was wondering if anyone has ever had the oppurtunity to compare
the in ear Monster copper headphones with the Sennheiser IE 8 in ear
headphones? These two contenders I have not been able to seperate
thus far. Does anyone have an opinion? Thanks for any info you could
relate. Thanks, Greg

Because many people ask "live sound" questions in this section, I will ask you this:
Are you considering in-ears for a stage mix or recording?
I agree with JT for recording applications...
For live sound stage monitoring, go with Sennheiser or Shure.
Stay away from anything Monster. Their buds are over-priced, over-hyped crapola.

Never buy anything from Monster. Their business practices are atrocious and their stuff is grossly overpriced.

I like my Sennheiser HD280 Pro headphones for the price. I suspect they make decent IEMs. I work with some guys who have had good luck with the affordable Shure SCL2 IEMs (including studio work). The Shure stuff higher in the line is even better. There are plenty of other brands to choose from so don't limit yourself.
