Hi folks. First here is my gear:
M-Audio Audiophile 192
Behringer Eurorack UB802 mixer
Shure SM57 Mic.

So the m-audio is plugged into my pci slot, and two leads going into the mixer. (My speakers also plugged into the sound card) From there, the mic is plugged in and rigged to the amp. Now, I am having problems with MIDI. I can play midi files, and I use guitar pro. However, if in Guitar pro or any other program i "export" or convert MIDI to wav, i will get a blank wav file. I cannot adjust the "recording" part in windows mixer - is it blank. I have an m-audio control panel with volumes, but no avail.
Also, in programmes like FRAPS, I get no sound when recording games.

What I would like to do is have a keyboard plugged into my computer and be able to play around with VST and MIDI with that, convert MIDI to wav, and to record sound from my games.
I need somone to work through this with me, I am new to it and dont understand much...I have tried to call M-audio but I live in singapore so its very hard to explain for long because of the costs. I ahve emailed them with no luck.
Please would somone be patient enough to help me..

Here are my pc specs if you need:
AMD Athlon 64 3200++
1GB Ram
160GB HD
Geforce 6600fx 128mb
Altec Lansing MX 5021 speakers

Thank you all in advance

EDIT: I can record thorugh the sound card, I just cant select the source etc..I can and am recording my guitar fine. I use Adobe Audition.
Also, in some games, or when the computer is very busy, my sound starts to crackle. Why?
