I'm so excited, I had to share my joy. I worked so hard, overtime for months on a job that gave me enough scratch to finally buy an M7. Its been a 2 year dream and everytime I had the money, something else came up and killed it. Finally.

I almost went for the Eventide H-8000 FW. Wow, that thing sounds amazing too! Doing research and listening to a lot of files, I think these two units are the kind of glue that takes our digital mix's to a new level. Maybe more than all gear put together. Hope I'm right.

Love to hear your experiences on either system. Thanks for chiming in.

Pricing is the same as USA. I won't divulge exactly what I paid online ( to be respectful to the dealer) although it was under $4000.00 taxes in. I tried buying a used one for months and they all sold for around $2800 to $3200.00 USD and they were all 2 or more years old. Crazy how they don't depreciate, I've never seen a product hold its value like the Bricasti's do. By the time I would pay customs and shipping, it would be the same as a new one. So, for a few hundred more I bought a new one.

Wow! That's about what I spent on my EMT plate years ago. I would consider that affordable as compared to some of the others. I still keep looking at old Lexicon 224/480's, still too much money. I'd rather have one of those. That is, if I can get something happening here in Nashville now in my fourth week. This may change by early next week? I'm going to stick around until the 23rd.

I love my brand-new 1986 RV

I keep watching for a used one as well, but just not going to pop at the going price. I would just snag a new one before I paid the used pricing.

Hey Pan, I know...

The thing about these, the same M7 made years ago will be update-able for many more years . Amazing unheard of service and support. Version 2 just came out and a simple replacement of the eproms took all the old units to a new level. Ver 3 is planned for 2013 and I'm understanding mine will be update-able at no expense. Even it is does cost something, I don't care anyway because just knowing I can update it, and its not dated, means everything to me.

It sounds like ver 3 will be some sort of plug-in that works together. The CPU processing this requires could not be made as a plug-in but it sounds like it will share some automation abilities in the near future via a plug-in.

However, I'm not much interested in automation for this. I want it as a bus reverb or possibly I will track a few things separately.

I'm also planning to buy the H 8000 FW which isn't comparable to the Bricasti as a natural reverb but it is as a monster effect processor! Best thing I've ever heard but expensive. eek $5400.00. Both these two processors should get me by for a decade. Check it out, it has 8 channels that can be triggered via midi and FW.

Back to the Bricasti, it is a 2 track system with Midi. You can use your DAW or Sequencer to System Exclusive the patches and automation that way.

You are a fortunate man, I'm saving for this now.

Please tell me more about this beast! If you were to loose it, what would you miss the most? What are your favourite sounds or uses? What type of music are you doing? Are you actually able to use it for 8 channels well ( 4 stereo)? How do you use it, in a hybrid system ( analog) or (digital) and how do you connect it in your chain? Do you route use it as an aux or individual tracks, groups ( stems)?

Thanks for sharing!!!

This is one of the amazing features of this Maschine and i use the following Setups.
At first of all i do not use Firewire . There are some bugs ( maybe they are fixed with the new 5.6 beta , don´t know yet )and the Latency is to much for my workflow( 265 ).

One Setup is to use the Wonderful Brilliant Sounded Crisital Analog Converters .
This is my Realtime Guitar Ambient Session Setup. Try to give the A/D the best you can.
I use a Focusrite Preamp and some TC Eqing before entering the A/D ....after that the Heaven...

The other Setup is Recording The Effekt , in this Szenario i use my RME 800 as a Patchbay.
It´s connected via ADAT. I use it in several Situation with Logic in I/O or just Bus/Aux ...what i want and need .
Keep Attention with 96khz ! The ADAT I/O are "Muxxed" ...so u work with two Stereo pairs instead of 4X Stereo at 44,1 .

and so on and so far
