Hi gang,

I've been asked many beginners questions on Samplitude and recording in general on my Youtube channel.
I've just finished a video that covers most of the basics for someone who starts recording.
Also, I cover most of the config and features of Samplitude
Hope it will help a few.

Yes I always leave it at 6 CPU, I guess it's not my bottleneck for now...

Samplitude has a take composer tool that allows you to draw sellections that will be part of the main track. A bit different but easy to get used to.
This could be one of my next videos, I'm sure you're not the only curious one ;)
But before that I need to change the tubes in one of my LA-610...

Why are you changing the tubes? What brand did you decide on for replacement?

Nice. Are you using hyperthreading, so 6c/12 threads dedicated to Sam? Curious how much ram your running.

I own 2 LA-610 both made in 2001 bought used in 2012 and the one I want to change the tubes has a somewhat nazal sound compared to the other..
I read many tube comparaisons to help me guess what to buy.
I end up ordering those :
Russian Vacuum Tube Valve 6P1P (EL90 6AQ5) 9PIN NOS (2pcs) I also have some Tungsol I can try if those are too dark sounding
Electro-Harmonix 12AX7 / ECC83 Preamp Vacuum Tubes (Three Pack)
Groove Tubes GT-12AT7 GT-12AT7 Preamp Tube

My goal is to get better HF while keeping noise down.
I'll do before and after tests with null tests as well ..

I currently have 16gb of ram installed.. I should make the exercice of checking how much is used with busy projects.. ;)
