I have sound card Egosys Waveterminal 2496, Behringer pre-amplifier Behringer Eurorack and old mic Shure 565 Unisphere.
I'm not satisfied with sound which I get with this mic, I need it basicaly for rapping (hip hop voice recording). The sound which I get it's somehow deep with to much bass, undefined, I need more middle EQ in this mic.
Can you suggest me which mic to buy, my Behringer Eurorack support mic power supply.
I will go from 100-200 Euros, or 150-250$.
I have heard that this Shure 565 Unisphere is good for stage not for studio recording. Also I have try all methods of improving voice recording, such as EQ, use mic upside down, middle of room, next to wall etc...

I have old Shure 565 Unisphere, I think is old about 10-15 years. It has some strange conncetors with 4 pins, so new Shure 565 maybe is very different from what I have.
Will I get better result if I get condensor microphone, this 565 is dynamic microphone.
You thin that I maybe connect wrong so I get not great sound? I mean, I'm very "peaky" don't know how to tell, It's not bad sound, but for my opinion I would like to get better.

This may or may not be the "right" mic for your application, but it shouldn't sound overly bassy or ill-defined in the mid-range - a crisp mid-range is what this mic is for(Actually, that's all it's for.).

Anyway, You might be sure the mic impedence is right? It is "selectable", either via a switch on the mic itself, or maybe by a(Rather simple) wiring change, maybe at its' connector? A look at the Shure web site(Look for an on-line manual for it), or an email to Shure tech support, should be helpful...
