Ok first sorry for starting yet another monitor topic!
I have a pair of PMC AML1's which I use for my main monitors and I love them. They seem to translate pretty well and I have got used to mixing on them.
So.. What are good pair of secondary?s for practically no money? I just want to fine tune the mix's. Do you think it is really so important which are your secondary?s or can it really just be something that?s quite cheap and like the average Hi-Fi?
I have a pair of small metal enclosed Realistic speakers spare, I was also considering getting some stacker system speakers from a boot sale or something. Sound a good plan?
NS10's would be nice but on Ebay they seem to be about £230 which is more than I want to spend right now.

yep...home stereo speakers are, I find, great to have in the (control) room...I have a pair next to my near fields...so used to working that way.. :wink:

If they are nearly as good as the regulars (and Wharfedale insists they are), they are easily worth three times that.
I have a set of (passive) original Diamond 8.2's in my mastering room sitting next to a set of B&W M-802's. They sound freakishly good next to them.
