my preamp has an effect send (tip=in / ring=out)

i want to use a compressor in the loop (tip=in / ring=out)

so i know i need a TRS cable, but it seems like ins and outs won't be lined up. do they make special cables for this? i'm not sure if i should jimmy one up myself and risk comprimising the quality.

i don't have the compressor in my possession yet, but i want to have everything ready to go.
