Hello,

I have just bought a new PC and after installing the OS and drivers i started to run in some softwares, two days after when i needed to work with Sonar 6 and i runned it (for the first time), it gave me an error that i have never got before.

When I proceeded to the software it didn't let me "Play" any track at all, not even for a second... So I made sure that my soundcard's drivers has been installed (it's integrated with the motherboard) and all the other drivers are working/running OK.

And I can't just figure out the problem... Any ideas/tips?

By the way, if it helps my motherboard is Asus M4A78-E.

Thanks.

You have a mismatched driver. Either a bad download link or you just picked the wrong one.

From the Device Manager, uninstall the HD Audio device (actually Sigmatel but name changed to protect the innocent). If you can, delete the driver from the cache. Download the latest driver from Asus. Reinstall.

FWIW I wasn't aware that the Sigmatel devices under any name actually ran at 192 or 176.
