We just got a commodore 64 from ebay. I also bought the "Incredible Musical Keyboard" for it and another synth card from a band call Treewave. I am trying to figure out a way, if any, to mic it. I want it to go through some kind of amp as opposed to the TV output that it came with. I could mic the TV but that is going to sound really shatty.
Also the same goes for the Atari.
We also have many kids instruments that we are eventually going to try to circuit bend but I want to record the sounds off of them before I destroy them. Any help would be appreciated.

I love recording.org, but there is a forum that deals more specifically with circuit bending and other noise/improv music techniques: harshnoise.com. They may have some additional ideas for you.
Does it have an RCA jack out to a TV? If you just want to get the basic sounds, you can get adaptors to run that signal into 1/4'' or XLR cable and record them. You could always re-amp or add effects later; that will give you the pure sounds to work with as samples, though.
Occasionally I use those small video game boxes in live improv situations--I run the audio out into a small sampler, and from there it can go into any kind of amps, effects, feedback loops, etc, and be fed back into the sampler at different points along the way.
