right now i am using 2 preamps but i heard you should have 2 direct box's and no preamps at all. I also heard going through 2 direct box's and then 2 preamps. what is most common way of doing this?
It depends on whether you like the sound of your pre amp or DI. I use a clean pre because I like the raw sound of my keyboards but i want an extra stage of volume control since my analogs sometimes act different at different volume.
