just curious if i would save some money by building my own? opening the second room in our studio soon, i was wondering if any one had experience building one of these? Ive built several pieces in our studio room one but i am by no means an electronics whiz wondering if there was a schematic that some one could share with perhaps some insights?

I've been internalizing this for a while, but I just want to clear the air. I had quite a bit of work done on a vintage Marshall a few months ago and I can't get one or two things out of my head. The amp came to me biased for KT88s and it had a PPIMV installed.

One of my UA 1176LN input pots (UREI 600 ohm T-Bridge Input Pot for UREI/ UA 1176) started getting scratchy. It was under warranty so UA replaced it.
I have another 1176 here which could start acting up some day too so maybe I should be looking for a backup (or two) now.

I contacted PEC, the company that made these for UA, asking if they had one and what it would cost me.

I can't seem to find any photos of the microphone in pieces so thought I'd ask on a forum
Do you know where I would solder the wires onto?
