Better workflow for mastering an album
I would like to know what you all think about this: which, in your opinion, is the best workflow for mastering an album:
1 - 2 tracks (as traditionally compares to a game of chess);
2 - each song in its own track, so the project will have much more than 2 tracks (usually 10 or more tracks)

Reel to Reel into DAW
Newbie first day here.
I have a 4 track Teac A-3440 I want to use the amp as an FX into my DAW (Studio One 3 Pro.)
My mixer Interface is a PreSonus Studolive 32.4.2 AI
So do I use the 4 outputs of the Teac into 4 inserts into the mixer ?
Or can I just use 1 output and 1 insert using the hardware integration plugin pipeline in Studio One as mono or

can someone help on perhaps a silly question?
So, one of my favorite songs ever is by Chevelle entitled "Emotional Drought" off the album This Type of Thinking Will Do Us In. The reason i came here to you folks is to see if the thing that been bugging me about the song is in the recording or the several mp3 files i have of it.
Back to basics - mic choice
Hi to all !
I post a link to my video here hoping it can help someone.
I'm also interested to read your comment.
This one was a bit harder on my spelling, since there is a lot of text and I did it live (multiple takes of course)
Feel free to tell me if it's not appropriate to post all my videos here. I wouldn't want to be taken as a click hunter...

Muddy Recording
Hi! I have Komplete Audio 6 and MOTU 624 audio interfaces and RODE Nt 1000 and another chinese condenser mic Takstar pc-k550 . I don't know why but when i'm record vocals i always get muddy sound, i tried everything but with no luck. This is not mixing issue, dont advise me cut everything under 100 hz and etc. Voice just sounds unnatural.

EQ & Dynamics for Bamboo Flute
Hi Friends,
What are the dynamics we usually using for bamboo flute recording (like delay reverb etc.) please mention if we usually use compressor/limiter for flute track ? I know its depends on the requirement. But i would like to hear from you guys the effect to be used for a soothing flute music besides a karaoke track.

Flute recording and mixing
Hi frineds, I am new to this forum. 3 questions.
1. For home recording for flute what type microphone is preferred (condenser/dynamic) ?
2. I have recorded a flute mono track. Do i need to convert it to stereo prior to mixing ? I would like to add some delay and reverb to it. I need some widening effect too. What is preferred way of mixing ?
