Vintage AMPEX 440 4 Track Recorder Problem
Forums
I just got a 1967 Ampex 440 4 Track Recorder and it has one problem that I can't figure out. When I press the play button or any other button on the control panel it the does the same thing. The rewind motor goes into rewind mode and the take up reel goes into fast forward mode. So, it is running in rewind and fast forward at the same time.

Need to beef up 'Wish You Were Here'
Forums
I work at a radio station and years ago my boss asked me to adjust the intro on Pink Floyd's 'Wish You Were Here'.
Quick reasoning is that the transmitter automatically calls everyone when there's perceived 'dead air' and the intro was tripping the transmitter so it needed to be beefed up a bit.

It is not the soft buzzing sound that can be removed, after searching up about it i realised that it should be the cause of ground loop. So i decided to buy a ground loop insolator for the problem but it still doesnt help. Does anyone have any experience or any idea to solve this?

My questions are:
