Looks like I'm not the only one thinking about how to use remote access etc to open up your studio to the world virtually. I'm perhaps behind the curve. This thing looks really cool and useful, wish I had it a couple years ago, woulda saved hours and many miles and CD-Rs. There's no doubt in my mind that networked audio is "the new now".

Recommendation on external FX?
I am mixing for various weekend warrior bar bands as a noob/amateur going on a year now. I typically mix approximately 1 show per month so my experience is limited to maybe 12 shows total.

Tom Dowd revisists Layla
This was on my feed, thought you guys might like it. I was just talking to DonnyThompson about the skills of an engineer from the classic era of recording vs the current era. I love how like in touch with music these producers are. I think sometimes today some of that is lost in order to get the idea out more quickly.

James Taylor on playing and technique: exclusive video for Guitarist magazine
Fun video with Jame Taylor. The mic looks like a Mojave. Beautiful sounding guitar.
Myroslav Levytsky - CD "In Piano" Production with Tim Dolbear

Today, I tested my latest guitar amp. It's a special amp if for no other reason than it is one of the last three my good friend and amp guru/mentor Conrad Sundholm will be building. He's retiring. After building and designing instrument amplification since 1964 or so. He was the founder of Sunn Amps. He started a company called Bi-Amp.

Royer R-10, has the cheap fever caught everybody ?
So Royer wanted a part of the semi-pro and home studio market.
Thomann in Germany - delivery system totally broken they advise don't order!
I've been a Thomann customer for years - my number one source, as in try them first, and only order elsewhere when they can't help - so I got a shock yesterday. On-line I tried to order some products and at checkout noticed a notice saying delivery delay - so clicked on it, and got informed they have problems and are experiencing 6 day delay on dispatch.
