Maintaing dynamic level between recording sessions
Forums
I'm recording guitar with an digitech rp 250 processor and Reaper. When i record the guitar I sometimes need to adjust the gain level of the processor so that Reaper has a max level of about -10. Now let's say I want to add to that same guitar part recording but don't remember the gain level I used. What is the easiest way to make the dynamic levels match up?
Gigging at an ART Museum
Forums
Yup. The Butler Museum of ART in Warren, Ohio. Just finished setting up, only using one PA cab (12" and a horn) in here tonight; this place is VERY reverberant.
One thing I'm noticing - I haven't been to an art museum in a while - it's very "stark". Lots of white walls and sporadic modern art every ten feet or so.

Correct way to connect & record guitar in stereo?
Forums
Hi, I need to make a video recording of a solo guitarist, and we want to make the recording in stereo using the chorus and delay pedals. What would be the optimal setup and method for the best quality stereo recording? Guitar will be recorded direct, not with a mic'd amp. Audio will be output from the mixer to the camcorder's XLR inputs (left and right channels)

1/32 grid and swing quantise
Forums
Hoping someone can enlighten me... I have a nice groove going with programmed from scratch drums in Cubase using XLN Addictive drums... all done on a 1/16 note grid... have set the real time quantise midi insert with a good feeling swing setting... and all is cool.

help! combining tracks from separate recorders of a live performance
Forums
I am an amateur with audio recording, and while I think I am good at some thing, here is a stupid question:
Stereo imbalance
Forums
In the mastering stage of an album created in Logic Pro X I'm finding (listening in cans) that my mixes are slightly tilted over to the right channel. Tracks like vocal and bass appear to be shifted right when in the mix itself they are definitely panned to the center.

Bought a new SM58
Forums
well, I was finally forced into replacing my old trusty 57 this weekend. It died last year (the ballad that which has been mentioned here many times so I won't get into that again, lol) but instead of buying a new one, I started using an old AT dynamic that is haf knocking around for years that I used instead. But, I couldn't get used to it tho.

ISA Preamp
Forums
Good morning, Mon Ami.
pcrecord A few questions...
When you bought your Focusrite ISA One pre, did you also buy the optional digital I/O card for it?
If so, are you happy with its conversion quality?
If not, what converter are you currently using to get the signal from the Focusrite into your DAW?
