Hey guys,

Just wanted to share a new recording studio tool I came upon through an ad: The Studio Progress Board.

I am attempting to record my drum set using 3 dynamic mics. I have them plugged into a Behringer mono analog minimix box which has no markers on it besides 0 and 10 on the gain knobs. I then have the box's output going to the line in jack on my pc. I'm trying to figure out the relationship between this preamp gain and the recording slider in Audacity.

I am using an Alesis Studio 24 for vocals in our rehearsals bought a Beheringer 1024USB mixer to run my in ears through. Using 2 overheads 1 & 2 CH and 2 Shure Beta52a combined on CH_3 on the Behringer and running 3 vocals 2 guitars and bass on the Alesis. I only want the vocals going to the mains. Ok so I've been learning a lot about this whole mixing game. I've done some mixes for some university projects and I'm starting to get somewhat of a hang of it. However, there's one thing that I can't quite decide on.

Any suggestions on recording a clarinet choir from people who have experience with this ensemble? This will not be a concert, so I have time to do whatever is necessary to get the best results. It will take place in a rehearsal hall which is fairly dry. I'm just not sure if I should approach it from a simple main pair in ortf or ms, or if I should use spot mics (or a combination).

Hey, I've noticed a couple of the new interface units employing 32 bit adda comverters (RME Adi-2 pro, sound devices mix-6).

Just wondering if there were any benefits of any kind, and what the 32 vs 24 bit depths means in an adda context in general.
