I'm waiting for support of the M-Box for Logic 5 (Macintosh). Anyone got the poop on this?

Does anyone use this? Im running it with Sonar and I'm cant realtime monitor unless i put the HW 1/2 OUT patchbay/router on moniter which doesnt make any sense to me. It makes the dry signal come out one place and the FX out another. If anyone can help it would be appreciated. thanx

In a couple of months I'll be moving premises and I'm currently designing my new studio setup.

At the moment I have a pair of Genelec 1037B's and the listening position set up as an equalateral triangle. I use a DAW and currently the computer monitor is positioned in a way which doesn't obscure the Genelecs.

I'm just wondering what is the best hard disk size as I have noticed people using more than one very large drives ie,80gb 7200rpm.Drives this size would generate a fair amount of heat.Anyone have any problems with disks this size.

I was looking for some good XLR cables. I talked to my friend who works at a studio, and he says that I should buy whatever I need for MY studio, and then spend all the left over money on cables, because it's important to have nice cables. Any D8b users ever check the amount of DC offset at the AES or SPDIF outputs? I recently did and its a lot! Set all faders to unity turn off all EQ,Comp,Gate and assign to the 2-bus.

Hey Brad, and all! I know this is a dumb question, but not too long ago a mono version of a stereo mix seemed to contain most all the information. Today there is a noticeable difference in the content when combined mono. Is there a line you won't cross when it comes to spatial enhancement, and what content do you try to preserve in the mono mix? :)

By studying different rap/hip hop waveforms I see that the bass drum/snare are usually the peaks of the waveform.

That's why I noticed that most of the instrumentals I produce are not that loud.
