What's the current wisdom regarding the "best" make of TT patchbay?

Hi all,
I am having a strange situation in my studio.
I am finishing a 10 songs project for a client and his producer ( a very bad one, by the way). I am sure the mixes sound awful.
Lots of high frequencies and none of lows or mids. Everything sounds as it is being mixed on a portastudio, thin and tiny.

I recently purchased a Delta 1010 and am experiencing problems using it's multiple outputs.
I have all 8 outputs going to 8 mixer channels, at -10dB... all the connections are fine.

I have two hard drives. Let's call 'em A and B. Now i keep all my programs on drive A and my recorded audio on Drive B. I also have about a gig of samples and sounds for Reason and Cubase. Should I store these as well on drive B? Or does it matter?
