My mate has a Yamaha 01V96 digital mixing desk he willing to let me borrow and I was wondering if I could use it with Pro Tools to use as either a controller or to actually record?

i stumbled across thiswhile doing research for my cousins upgrade. i wanted to hear it, and WOW, now i want one even tho i don't need it. sure its pros doing the demo, but it's all UA, no pet outboard. enjoy.

May I know if the Sabine Feedback Exterminator (FBX 2400/2410) is still widely used? I tried looking for reviews, or online shops that sells this but I hardly find any. (only 3 sellers in ebay for their supposedly new 2410 model). I tried to email them like 7x now and they never replied back.

I was wondering how to save a session in acid more than anything, but I wanna make sure I'm right for cubase.

Does anyone know if there is a plugin (VST) that will tune an audio source, not to a specific note, but to the pitch of another audio source? Say if I wanted to match the chorus of another vocalist, and for example: retain their unique vibrato? or match closer their singing style?

Here is a new song I've just finished. I have got so close to it that I can no longer make any valid adjustments because I'm just too close to the whole thing.

I've written, sang, arranged, played and produced the thing and although I think it is a decent standard I am asking for opinions on arrangement.

Hello, I'm just getting into the very basics of recording and purchased myself an XM8500 mic. My uncle had a preamp/mixer that I was going to use, but for some reason the mic doesn't work with it. I've tried everything and decided that I would just get a new preamp instead.

I put a picture of the Logic 8 mixer to show what I'm talking about. My buses are acting really weird and I didn't change anything. They just appeared like this. Usually when I send a track to a bus, it comes up as Bus 1, Bus 2, Etc. Now it is showing up as Bus 1-2, Bus 3-4, etc.
