It's an ANT TR700 German broadcast desk made in... sometime in the 1980s?

I've searched high and low for info on this, and specifically the schematics, but no luck so far.

Any ideas would be great, thanks a lot!

Hot off the Studer 2 track.

Best guess is mid 80's.

Which meant that it was tracked on a 1" 16trk Tascam MS16. Console? Maybe Neotek. The years haven't been kind to my memory.

I bought one of these used a few months back from Vintage King. It had some problems so I sent it back to them under their quite good warranty. It came back with other issues so it got sent to Phoenix Audio for a rebuild/repair. All of this covered under warranty from Vintage King. EXCELLENT customer service and communication. I can't recommend them enough! Now to the gear itself.

I have been running Pro Tools 7 HD on a Mac G4, with the Digidesign 192 i/o, and the TDM plugins for several years. I now have a new Mac Quad-Core Intel Xeon and I now have a new core card for the 192. What version of Pro Tools can I get away with. I don't need to go to version 10. I do need to be able to record sixteen tracks at a time.

I am pretty new to sound recording and especially editting. I need to prepare samples of separate english words for a teaching software.

I already made some recordings of the VO talent with ZOOM H4, 96kHz, WAW. The recording consists of separate words.

My main interest is wildlife field recording and have 2x questions:

1 - Whats the best way to organise the audio clips on the computer and also search for them, i.e. search for a particular species or atmosphere recording.
