I've just recently purchased a surround sound setup, and I am curious as to the best way to set it all up. As far as the 2.1 system goes, I've heard to go from the output of the interface into the sub, then out the sub to the monitors. However, my interface (PreSonus Firepod) only has 1/4" outputs, and my sub (Yamaha SW10) only has XLR inputs.

I am looking to start doing some recording of natural ecosystems (beaches, marches, forests, etc.) I need a microphone that will record practically 360 degrees at a wide variety of frequencies so that it will capture every detail. I came across the Crown SASS-P MKII a few days ago, but I found out it was discontinued and hard to find.

Hello all. I just got done recording drum parts for some friends of mine and i want to edit the drums such as quantize, flex, and replace them. For some reason only certain takes well let me quantize them and others wont. The takes with a number of a take will let me example kick#119. Then the takes that say compO will not show up in the quantize area.

When closing a session my computer froze, had to restart it but pro tools cannot open that session anymore.
I can't even import its tracks to a new session.
When I try to open it says =

could not complete the "Open Session..." command because:an error ocurred while reading the document.

Hy guys in about 20 years recording this is the first time I saw this happening.
When I push rec + play they blink for about 3-4 seconds then start recording.
I found nothing in pro tools manual and google.
Maybe there's a setting for that.
Any ideas?

Hello people, I have both Cubase and FL Studio and have more than 3 years experience with each program. Though, i've started using FL first so this program becomes the go-to program when quick ideas come to mind because of its simplicity, and ease of use.

Has any used Sonar X1 real world for production/mixing a project. I've recently upgraded to an PC with i7 cpu and Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit. Am very interested in the additional power of 64bit in relation to plugins/Vsti's count.

I'm also looking at Pro Tools 9, just really curious how does Sonar stack up 4 REAL!
