Hi, I've been reading quite a few of the threads on this forum regarding mixing, mastering etc.
Most of the threads start out with a nice question and end up in some discussion about how professional recordings are not made by accident etc, etc.
This makes them hard to read, and even herder to learn anything.

I have a question- Has anyone (or is it even possible) to get an MBox2 to install on a Vista (32) machine and work with Cubase Studio 4?

I started off with Pro Tools 7.3 Academic, what then allowed a free upgrade to Pro Tools 7.4 M-Powered Educational... and now I want to upgrade to Pro Tools 8, but i'm unsure if there is even a Academic version for PT8.

first i would like to say well I'm a new user here and i love the site its great.my questions is if anybody used magix Samplitude 10 i heard if you run it on a dual -quad core system- you would get better sound then a pro-tools hd3 system-so if anybody could help out before i spend 3000 bucks :( thanks

Hi guys. I have a Roland VS2400CD that I just installed a VS8F-3 expansion card in. I started using some of the effects, but now I can't get them off of my input sound. I have tried removing the effects from the chain, bypassing them, and restarting but there is still a reverb and delay on my input sound.

While I joined this forum in Oct 08 I had been a diligent reader for over a year before that and I know that questions regarding compression are almost as ubiquitous as which microphone should I buy or drum mic placement questions.

I currently have melodyne essential which came with my Pro Tools setup. I'm wanting to upgrade to something, either cre8, or plugin . Cre8 gives the option of doing many tracks at once giving the benefit of making harmonies without worrying about using the plugin on multiple tracks like you would have to with melodyne plugin .

I mean what does it do? And when to use it and why?

I have recently started recording some music again and have consequently found that my Cubase SX program will unfortunately no longer open. I get this error message when I try to load it...
